Illustration

Using a blend of Illustration and Graphic Design, my artwork is inspired by my deep research into the Irish tradition and my field-work explorations through the history, people, landscape, sites and customs that have shaped all of its layers.

Ireland’s Godly Tribe
Between 2017 and 2024, I created my versions of the Tuatha Dé Danann as I discovered each of them through my research.

Her Story Lightshow 2023
This illustration of the Three Brigits was selected along others and projected unto the GPO and other buildings.

Roth na Gréine
After spending many turns of the Wheel in Ireland, I needed to visualise my own diagram of its meaning and implications.

Éirím inniu in Éirinn
With the help of Gaeilgeoirí friends and teachers, I composed a morning prayer poem fully in Irish.

‘Aiteach Art’
Upon contributing an article about homosexuality in Ireland for Airmid’s Journal, came a visual exploration of same-sex love in Gaelic Ireland.

Tree Lads
I challenged myself to illustrate native Irish trees as male human characters, playing around with meaning and interpretation.

Random Art
A mix of miscellaneous illustrations from different projects, times and ideas.
