Graphics ⁊ Communication Services

I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design at Universidad de Palermo (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in 2013. Until officially resettling in Ireland in 2019, I led a mobile lifestyle while freelancing graphic design, illustration and communication jobs. In 2021, I registered Deercún and continued to offer my services in a specifically Irish niche.

Since 2022, I’ve been Head of Communications at the Gaelic Woodland Project, managing all branding, design, social media, website design and maintenance, newsletter composing, print material and more.

In 2025, I provided graphics for the Art Departments of 2 RTÉ tv productions, “Hidden Assets” and “The Dry”.

Identity ⁊ Branding

A strong brand identity is rooted in a bespoke, memorable and effective logo that fosters recognition. Mixing symbology, morphology and conceptual processing, I distill powerful imagery to convey the embodied values of the brand.

TV Productions for RTÉ

Hidden Assets Season 3 (2025, Saffron Moon LTD.)

I was an Assistant Graphic Designer. As much of the action for this series was set in semi-Spanish speaking Bilbao, Spain, I designed and oversaw all Spanish-language design pieces, including dressing and signage for sets such as a university, hospital, a coffee shop and the real Basque police’s branded office headquarters; as well as packaging, posters, business logos, flyers and product labels.

Some samples of my work include:

The Dry Season 3 (2025, Element Pictures)

I was Graphic Designer for the 3rd season of this show starring Ciarán Hinds and Róisín Gallagher. While less visually heavy than Hidden Assets, this production required the design of interesting pieces like business logos, Irish documents from the 80’s, signage and dressing for hospital and art college sets and, as would be expected from a show about a recovering alcoholic, a shocking amount of fake alcohol brands with labels.

Anti- AI Clinic

To designers, it is an absolute no-brainer that a machine that is by nature incapable of creating novel connections, and all it can really do is repeat and rehash pre-existing things, can never be imitate the creative potential of the human mind.

Graphic Design is, at its core, a subtle game of shapes, words and invisible threads of concept weaving a message to be communicated. It is not art – if the design’s message is open to subjective interpretation, it has failed its purpose – although it makes use of art to communicate.

The human mind is special in that it has an uncanny capacity to create meaning, and make it layered, complex, nuanced and clever. The cleverest the connection of concepts, the most impactful is the experience for the mind.

AI generated graphic design is inherently bad at communicating because it lacks capacity for originality and discernment of good taste – two fundamental ingredients for visual communication, because they generate memorability and differentiation, two qualities that any message worth its time must have to be efficiently communicated. AI design makes everything look exactly the same, because it just can’t do anything else.

Client Testimonials

“Working with Santi over the last three years to produce logos, album covers, merch designs and posters has been an absolute pleasure. His illustration talents are off the charts, his attention to detail is meticulous, and his communication is second to none, making him the perfect person to bounce ideas off and bring my creative visions to life.

Santi also understands more about Irish history, heritage and culture than anyone I know. His ability to understand the cultural context behind an idea and translate it into something visually striking is an incredibly valuable asset.”
